4. Money and Credit. Leading scientific and applied journal dedicated to the banking business. It is one of the most authoritative publications in this industry. The publication is included in the VAK List.
5. “Accounting in budgetary and non-profit organizations”. Articles are published on the financial and economic activities of budgetary and non-profit organizations, the problems of improving accounting, taxation and reporting methods. The journal is indexed in the RSCI.

Most of the journals on economics published in our country (and there are a lot of them) have the heading “finance and credit” and accept scientific financial articles for publication.

However, if you come across this section in some journal, it is not at all a fact that this particular specialty is the one for which this publication is included in the VAK List. If this is not observed, then there is a high probability that the Dissertation Council may not accept an article published in such a journal for defense. But if we are not talking about protection, then the presence of this section in the journal indicates the readiness of the editors of the publication to consider articles on this topic as possible for publication.

Paid and free article publications

According to the current rules, open access publications give the author the right to choose between the classic subscription model and the open access model. When choosing a journal to place an article, you should pay attention to this point. Not only to get acquainted with the benefits of open access, but also with the conditions for paying the costs of publishing these articles. It happens that publications or sponsors bear these costs in whole or in part. But if you decide, for one reason or another, whether it be time trouble or disagreement with the editorial policy of the publication, it is your right to publish in the VAK journal with open access.

Previously, journals from the VAK List did not have the right to publish articles for money, but with the advent of open access, this restriction disappeared on its own. In this case, the fee for the article is considered as a contribution to cover the costs associated with the publication of the journal. In any case, this issue should be discussed with the editors in advance.

PhD students of full-time departments of Russian universities and universities have the right to free publication of the results of their research as part of the preparation of a dissertation for defense for the degree of Candidate of Science.
